Non-precise timing

Timing is always relevant…information from the now, the moment, the present, the future and the past is available for the neocortex at all times…

So timing is very much about having the best information when you need it, and this is what the neocortex makes us able to have.

I can’t argue that. However, this thread is about precise timing in the sense that (e.g.) I can recognize (or hum) a song at different speeds while preserving its identity as the same song.
