Balladeer

Software Architect in Silver Spring, working to improve the US healthcare system a bit.

I read On Intelligence when it first came out, really liked it, but then my career got started and I lost track of the whole HTM thing.

Fast forward over a decade, and I coincidentally finished reading Sparse Distributed Memory a few days before hearing about Jeff Hawkins’ “Location, Location, Location” talk at Johns Hopkins APL. The coincidence re-piqued my interest, so I went to his talk, got re-energized about the topic, and now I’m here catching up on a decade of development.

I’m primarily a Python developer professionally, so I’m implementing the various data structures and algorithms in pure Python to make sure I understand them. You can see the results here.
