I’ve grown up surrounded by computers, taking them apart, putting them together, getting them to talk to each other, and programming them to do things.

Always had an interest in AI, and now I’m being paid to apply it to people’s business problem. I enjoy it.

I discourage folks from forming tribes of thought, where different ideas and approaches dismissed without consideration. If we’re going to continue improving the world, it will take all variety of people and ideas, and continuing respect for those peaceful differences.

In the pursuit of AGI, we will likely need a combination of statistical and symbolic processing, SDR, machine learning, and perhaps something we just haven’t found yet. Embrace challenges, and avoid false dichotomies.
