Has anyone here modeled this part of the system yet? Or know anything more about it? I don’t recall Mark Browne explaining that exactly. In my opinion signal timing based output like this should be easy to topographically model using simple 1+1=2 addition.

I now wonder whether this is how all of the thalamic connections to cortical columns work and can vary the properties of sensory fields, like Jeff explained is expected to be happening but exact mechanism is/was not yet known.
