Bioelectric Computation Outside the Nervous System

I came across this amazing lecture by Dr Michael Levin at NeurIPS 2018:

The entire presentation is full of interesting information, but if you don’t have much time, there are two short parts that I think this community will find interesting.

There are ion channels and electical synapses in other cells than neurons, and they regulate a form of computation:
