Time steps and synchronization

What are the appropriate time steps for an HTM model? And, in relation to that, how can we be sure that all HTM neurons calculating the same SDR are synchronized? Without synchronization, isn’t there a risk of artifact SDRs to intrude in calculations so that the learning validity will be reduced or lost? There’s a theory that natural brains neurones oscillate for exactly this reason.

Well, it seems to me that the fact that the learning step of the algorithm of the artificial model (rearranging of synapes) always waits for the conclusion of the feed-forward step (new data from the outside world) actually bypasses the natural-biological need for synchonization through oscillation.
