Future NUPIC work is closed source?

I infer from the lack of github activity and renaming repositories as “legacy” that future work by Numenta is closed source. Does anyone know whether that’s true?

On the numenta website is a link to https://github.com/numenta/nupic.core, but it redirects to https://github.com/numenta/nupic.core-legacy, which is read-only, and there is no repo with a meaningful amount of activity. Neither do I see a “nupic2.0” repo that would correspond to announcements of nupic2.0 on the numenta website.

Thanks. Here is the relevant excerpt from your link Q&A section, for anyone else who might be interested:

When will the code be open source?

We are dedicated to making the code open source as soon as possible. Currently, we are hiring a team and putting documentation in place so that once the code is released, people can get started easily and get support when needed. We are hoping to make the code open source by the end of 2024, earlier if possible. Sign up for updates below.
