I got some feedback that there were too many categories and sub-categories in the forum. I created as many as I could think up in the beginning to see how it would work, but at this point I think it clutters up the forum. Too many categories adds confusion. So I’ve pared down all the sub-categories to only those that have gotten a lot of use and make the most sense to be segregated from the main category. The forum currently looks like this:
I think this is cleaner and simpler to navigate. We also have the option to allow user tagging of posts, which would provide a similar mechanism for segregating content, so I am going to turn that on and allow anyone with trust level 2 or higher to tag posts.
