Okay, I got it to build in Ubuntu 16.04 - now what?

It’s taken about a week solid of tinkering, but I finally figured it out, thanks everyone who helped put the wiki docs together. As a Windows guy, it takes about 4x as long to perform even simple tasks.

So, now I’m here. I have a successful build of nupic.core. How do I even begin? What IDE do people recommend? What is being used at Numenta homebase? All recommendations welcome.

One common exercise is to feed your CPU usage stats into a model. There is an example of doing this on a Mac. It might work on Windows, too, because I think it uses a python module to extract the CPU data.

Also, have a look at this wiki about creating nupic applications.
