Graphene is a 2D lattice of carbon molecules arranged into a hexagonal grid. Recent studies are showing some interesting properties.
If you take two sheets of Graphene, rotate one of them by 1.1 degrees, and lay them on top of each other, the result exhibits signs of superconductivity and other curious features. If you look at the pictures in the article, you’ll see some familiar sights:
